Italy’s Torino Film Festival will recognize Pamela Anderson with its lifetime achievement honor, the Stella della Mole Award, at its upcoming edition. The actor will also introduce a special presentation of “The Last Showgirl,” the Gia Coppola film that brought her a Golden Globes nomination in 2025.

Scheduled for Nov. 24 through Dec. 2 in the northern Italian city of Turin, the festival will feature an onstage conversation with Anderson before the screening. The event is run by Italy’s National Film Museum and is a prominent showcase for independent cinema and young filmmakers.

In announcing the honor, artistic director Giulio Base focused on how Anderson’s work in “The Last Showgirl” offered a fresh understanding of a performer audiences had long recognized. He said cinema can allow viewers to discover someone they feel they have known for years, and that Anderson’s performance had provided that experience.

Base also described the sensitivity she brought to the role as moving and surprising, saying her gestures revealed qualities that challenged the sense that audiences already knew everything about her. The film marked a significant comeback for the former “Baywatch” star. With the Torino honor, Anderson joins a list of Stella della Mole recipients that includes Spike Lee, Antonio Banderas, Angelina Jolie and Sharon Stone.

Her work following “The Last Showgirl” has included a starring role opposite Liam Neeson in Paramount’s reboot of “The Naked Gun.” She also appeared in “Rosebush Pruning,” the family satire directed by Karim Aïnouz that premiered in Berlin. Its cast includes Riley Keough, Callum Turner, Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell, Lucas Gage and Tracy Letts.

In September, Anderson attended the Venice Film Festival with “Place to Be,” a road movie from director Kornél Mundruczó. In that film, she appeared alongside Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi and Murray Bartlett.

Anderson has also completed filming on several projects awaiting release. Those include Brian Klugman’s “Somedays,” in which she stars with Billy Bob Thornton, and “Alma,” directed by Sally Potter and featuring Richard E. Grant.

Another recently completed film is “Love Is Not the Answer,” Michael Cera’s first feature as a director. The absurdist comedy pairs Anderson with fellow cast members Steve Coogan and Jamie Dornan.
