Paige, a 2-year-old girl, is healing from six broken bones after surviving a deadly collision on the Alaska highway.

Alaska State Troopers reported that Sasha Hart, 38, and her husband David Hart, 41, died in a head-on crash on Oct. 19.

The accident occurred on the Parks Highway near Trapper Creek, roughly 11 days before this report.

Troopers said Sasha Hart was driving a Subaru Forester southbound when the vehicle crossed the center line.

The Subaru collided with a northbound Ford F-250.

Paige was a passenger in the Subaru and is the only survivor of the crash.

The couple had lived in Fairbanks for ten years and recently celebrated their wedding anniversary.

Sasha Hart was born in Jamaica, while David Hart grew up in Alaska.

Their sister Shery Elterman-Hart described the couple as close family friends before they met.

"She just became one of us," Elterman-Hart said.

The family noted that the couple enjoyed traveling, watching hockey, and eating together.

David Hart's sister Katie Ragsdale said Paige was central to their lives. "I don't know if it's Paige's house or their house," Ragsdale said.
