The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will hold a training session on artificial intelligence for business owners on Friday, November 13. The event, titled "AI for Business: Get Started Before Your Competitors Do," is scheduled from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Center for Business Excellence at 49 Commerce Drive in Wyomissing.
Attendees will examine how AI tools manage routine tasks such as answering emails and processing long documents. The session aims to show participants how to use these technologies without increasing risk to their operations. Lunch is included with the ticket price.
The GRCA sets two price points for the workshop. Members pay $50, while non-members pay $75. Registration is available through the organization's website at greaterreading.org.
This event is part of a series of business activities in the Reading and Berks County area for November. The Berks LaunchBox, located at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, is hosting two separate events during the month. On November 9, the LaunchBox begins a six-week course called "Business 101" for entrepreneurs. The class meets Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. through December 14 and is free to the public.
The LaunchBox will also mark its tenth anniversary with a networking event on Thursday, November 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. This gathering is also free to the public. On November 10, the GRCA hosts a nonprofit roundtable at 49 Commerce Drive in Womissing. The session runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and costs $50 for members and $60 for non-members.
Later in the month, the Small Business Resource Association (SBRA) will hold a breakfast club at B2 Bistro in West Reading on November 13 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon on November 18 in Limerick. Keynote speaker Danielle N. Adams-Wiltshire will discuss feedback and continuous improvement at the REACH High Tea Luncheon. The cost is $55 for members and $90 for non-members, and attendees are asked to donate to the YWCA Food Pantry.
The GRCA will return on December 3 for its 2026 Truist Economic Forecast Breakfast at Redner's Event Center in Reading. Eylem Senyuz, senior investment strategy analyst at Truist Advisory Services, will present an outlook for 2026 and 2027. The event runs from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and costs $45 for members and $60 for non-members. The SBRA will close the year with a holiday networking event called Jingle Mingle on December 18 in Spring Township, where participants bring wrapped children's gifts.
