Rays Win in 12th, Brewers Turn to Misiorowski With 3-1 Series Lead
Milwaukee's bullpen depth and error count are under scrutiny heading into Wednesday's Game 5.

The Tampa Bay Rays kept their season alive on Ben Williamson's walk-off single in the 12th inning of Game 4.
The victory denied Milwaukee a championship and pushed the World Series to Game 5, set for Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET in Tampa Bay. The Brewers still hold a 3-1 series lead. Milwaukee can close out its first title in that game; the Rays need a win to force a trip back to Milwaukee.
The game ran 12 innings and 4 hours, 20 minutes. Fifteen pitchers threw 367 pitches against 90 batters. Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy said, "We drained a lot of pitching, as they did, and that's part of playing a tight ballgame." Milwaukee committed two errors in Game 4, both on throws from third base, and its infielders now have eight errors this postseason. Milwaukee hitters produced 12 of the 13 hardest-hit balls in the game. Brewers infielders have committed eight errors this postseason, including two in Game 4.
Murphy confirmed Jacob Misiorowski will start Game 5 on four days' rest. The right-hander, considered the leading NL Cy Young Award candidate, held the Rays to one run over five innings in Game 1 on Oct. 23 before exiting after 78 pitches. Across 30 regular-season starts, he made four on four days' rest, going 1-1 with a 1.64 ERA, 34 strikeouts and three walks over 22 innings. His October workloads have been limited: 88 pitches over four innings against San Diego in the NLDS and 94 over 4⅓ innings against the Dodgers in the NLCS. Trevor Megill threw five pitches to one batter in Game 4. Aaron Ashby retired all seven hitters he faced over 2⅓ innings on 31 pitches, and Abner Uribe set down six straight over two innings on 19 pitches; neither worked in Game 3. The Rays have not named a starter. Drew Rasmussen threw 89 pitches over 3⅔ innings in Game 2 and is one option on short rest. Nick Martinez moved to the bullpen in Game 4 and threw 33 pitches over two innings.
Lineups for both teams had not been announced.
