President Donald Trump told reporters in Florida that the United States still needs to address one or two remaining targets in Iran. He identified a location he called Pickaxe Mountain as the primary site still under consideration. Trump claimed the U.S. can complete the operation in 10 minutes.
The president stated that American forces have already destroyed much of Iran's military infrastructure and neutralized its nuclear capabilities. He characterized the current negotiations to end the conflict as unreliable. Trump noted that the U.S. is not in a rush to launch new offensive actions because the Iranian military has been significantly reduced.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke earlier on Saturday. He said Trump has not yet made a final decision on new strikes. Rubio confirmed that the U.S. remains open to a diplomatic solution to end the hostilities.
Iran's Supreme Leader warned both the United States and Israel against launching fresh attacks. This warning followed Trump's threats to resume bombing after next week's U.S. legislative elections. The Iranian government has consistently denied that any nuclear work takes place at Pickaxe Mountain.
The conflict began in late February when the U.S. and Israel launched joint operations against Iran. Trump previously suggested he was weighing whether to finish the campaign immediately. He now frames the remaining military tasks as a short, specific procedure rather than a prolonged campaign.
