Ophir Falk, the foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has argued that the United States and Israel should work together to remove Iran's current government.

In remarks sent to The Jerusalem Post ahead of Israel's election on Tuesday, October 27, Falk stated that the removal of what he called the "genocidal Ayatollah regime" serves the best interests of America, Israel, and civilization. He identified the current pairing of leaders as the appropriate team for the task, noting that the Trump-Netanyahu team has shown itself suited to achieve this goal.

Falk framed the upcoming election as a choice regarding who will lead Israel during the final two years of Donald Trump's presidency. He asked voters to consider who will best coordinate with the US President to complete operations in Iran and expand regional peace. He contrasted this partnership with the stated desires of Israel's opponents, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran, which he said want Netanyahu to lose.

President Trump reinforced the alliance on Sunday evening. On Truth Social, he urged Israelis to support Netanyahu in the vote, writing, "Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister; we have to finish the job that we started!" Falk cited this endorsement as evidence that Trump wants to continue working with the Israeli Prime Minister.

Falk also provided an assessment of the current strategic balance. He claimed that the alliance between Israel and the United States is at its strongest point, while Iran and its proxy forces are at their weakest. These comments follow an interview Falk gave to the same publication on October 15, in which he said Israel was "very close" to creating conditions for regime change. In that earlier interview, he emphasized that the final decision for a new government rests with the Iranian people.

The written remarks did not specify the operational steps the two nations would take to remove Iran's leadership. Falk also provided no specific timetable for when this change would occur. The election takes place Tuesday, with voters choosing the next government for the state of Israel.
